ok guys some of you might have heard me bandy this idea around but have finally got round to putting it in writing!!!
I reckon a wednesday afternoon at 4 or a friday afternoon at 5 or BOTH!! would be good for us to meet outside the goose then at 4.10 walk up to Tiverton gym (the local gym - here is the website http://www.leisure.birmingham.gov.uk/sites/Tiverton/tiverton.htm ) Will have to sort out the details in the new year more but we can start this as soon as the term starts!
Why you hear me ask though???? well i think its a good idea for us to go there not as a club but as friends who train together to help each other and encourage each other to get fit as i am sure it will help our endurance and its good for the heart. Also i dont think all of us will be able to meet everyweek but if you can go when you can that would be grand.
so what do you think???

I'm seriously up for the meeting outside the goose, then any that want to go to the gym can, any that want to come into the goose with me can.
God gave me this body, so i dont want to play with his grand plan. Anyway, I do have a six pack but as im worried about little cute animals getting heads stuck in those plastic things holding the cans together, i cut it up and they are just a jumble now. Was a sacrifice i was willing to take!!!

I'll pass ta, still have my adonis body, kept in a jar by my bed and is fed and watered on a regular basis! But you intrigue me with this pub concept, explain young alex! Matt

well, its quite simple really. You may enter a pub and money can be exchanged for goods and services. Goods may include such things as beer and food. Instead of pub, if going to gym, money is instead exchanged for false hope and physical exertion. Most likely followed by further transactions in a pub for aformentioned goods. I figure, cut out gym and head straight to pub! More fun!
Hope all are having a merry christmas

Ah, but the two are mutually beneficial.... spend time hanging from the pull up bar in the gym and one might gain a few valuable inches (going with alex's earlier height point), therefore increasing ones visibility at the bar, saving on waiting time in the pub and allowing increased drinking time......you know it makes sense! (come on fellow midgets- back me up!!!)
Also, you've dealt with the goods part alex, but what are these services you plan on recieving, and why haven't they been mentioned? Which bars are these exactly? ;-p
p.s. Merry christmas one and all!

Paul was obviously talking about the lassie "pullin his pint" behind the bar and how that may be deemed a service if you catch my drift guv'ner! Though why he would be thinking that is anybody's game! Matt

Seeing as she wasn't involved in the thread, I don't suppose i can blame 'catalyst' for me reading inappropriate things from perfectly civilised conversations.....can I??......oh well, I'm going to anyway- Bethan, it's all your fault! ;-)
Anyway...any more takers on the original idea? |

right - been away for the holidays but back now - Adam the days and times are written down on my original post. Alex false hope is one thing but personally i think it is only false if you make it false.
hope you are all having a good break. will send out an email weekend before term starts.

I haven't got my timetable for next year yet (my parents' rubbish AOL dialup won't let me get my uni emails) but assuming I'm free I'm up for it (I'll check when I'm back in Brum). Alex's idea looks lovely and tempting as well...
